Welcome To Prairie Dirt Writings

Greetings and welcome to Prairie Dirt Writings.
On this blog you will find some of my favorite writings over my 20-plus years of involvement with the dirt track racing community.
Writing is like taking a photograph. It is capturing a moment in time.
These articles, columns, reports and releases are unedited.
I hope you enjoy reading this collection as much as I enjoyed writing them.

Congratulations go out to McKenna Haase of Des Moines, Iowa who became the first woman to win a 360 sprint car race at the famous half mile of Knoxville Raceway this weekend. It's a safe bet that this will not be the last we hear of the 20 year old sprint car driver.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to veteran sprint car driver Terry McCarl who was involved in a bad multi-car crash at Knoxville Raceway on Saturday. He was taken to Knoxville Hospital but has since been released and is recuperating at home. Get well soon.
