CYBULSKI FLIPS CALENDAR, SWITCHES GEARS
by Darren Pallen (Winnipeg, MB) Following a nine-year run, Greg Cybulski's popular dirt track racing column "Dirt from the Stands" is coming to an end.
“Like any great ride, nothing lasts forever and I feel that now is the right time to close this chapter of my life in racing”, said Cybulski, a dedicated dirt track racing fan, promoter, and writer.
“I've decided to concentrate my energies on the newest chapter of my life in racing as the Director of Media Relations for the Northern Lightning Sprint Association.”
The Prairie Dirt reporter will continue to post comments and regional racing news on his blog. In a world where the local dirt track scene often suffers from inadequate media coverage, Cybulski’s commitment to continue blogging will bring great news to the racing community.
“I am also looking into other aspects of the local dirt track racing scene right now. My writing and promotional experiences over the past 6 years with the Sprint Cars in western Canada has been an amazing journey and I will always be there to support it, however, this year appears to be a good time to step back and concentrate on other matters that are important to me,” commented Cybulski.
"I would like to thank Sprints&Midgets webmaster Don McAuley for supporting me in starting my column. To the webmasters who posted my writings over the years and the fans who took the time to read "Dirt from the Stands", I thank you all."
"I would also like to thank my editors of the past nine years, especially Beth Steenhoek, Darren Pallen and Vicki James, who proof-read and offered advice for my columns before I released them. Their input made something good even better."
