Welcome To Prairie Dirt Writings

Greetings and welcome to Prairie Dirt Writings.
On this blog you will find some of my favorite writings over my 20-plus years of involvement with the dirt track racing community.
Writing is like taking a photograph. It is capturing a moment in time.
These articles, columns, reports and releases are unedited.
I hope you enjoy reading this collection as much as I enjoyed writing them.

Eric Guyot had himself a busy Thursday night at Winnipeg's Victory Lane Speedway.  In addition to racing in a Super Truck make up feature, plus the regularly scheduled program, the Fannystelle, Manitoba racer brought out his UMSS sprint car to turn a few exhibition laps for the fans as well.  Guyot held the hot hand all night winning both Super Truck features before preparing to head south of the border to race his sprinter at Cedar Lake Speedway with the UMSS.  The UMSS was a support class for the touring World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series over the weekend.

Winnipeg's Ward Imrie swept his events in 2 car classes, winning both Late Model features, plus taking the checkered flag in the Modified feature as well.

MUSINGS

That's a wrap on a most enjoyable Canada Day weekend.  Paying my first visit to Victory Lane Speedway in quite a while brought back some nice memories for me.

Celebrating Canada Day in Estevan and especially visiting with my Saskatchewan racing family is always a treat.

There will be more about this weekend in a future writing.
